Gerry Illmayer
PHYSIOTHERAPIST – BSC (PT), MCL SC, DIP MANIP, FCAMT
Gerry graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy in 1988.
After working for six years in Edmonton he moved to Victoria in 1994 and has been here ever since. In 2011 Gerry attained a Masters of Clinical Science degree from the University of Western Ontario.
Gerry has been a registered instructor for the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association since 1993 and has been actively involved in teaching post-graduate courses in manual and manipulative therapy as well as the mentoring of therapists for their post-graduate manual therapy examinations.
He was formerly a member of the Education Committee of the Orthopaedic Division and was responsible for the coordination and implementation of all post-graduate certification and diploma courses and examinations for Canada.
Gerry has a special interest in the treatment of chronic spinal and pain disorders with an emphasis on whiplash associated disorders.
